Ex-Ohanaeze President General, Ikedife, dies
A former President General of umbrella socio-cultural organization of Igbo, Ohanaeze Nd’Igbo, Dr. Dozie Ikedife, is dead.
Ikedife, a medical doctor by profession came into political limelight in 1979 through 1983 when he served as the Presidential Laison Officer in the second republic administration of former President Shehu Aliu Shagari.
In his reaction to Ikedife’s demise, Chairman of Aka Ikenga, a political think-tank of Nd’Igbo, Chief Goddy Uwazurike, said: “Dr. Dozie Ikedife has lived a purpose-built life. He was a balanced and respected figure in Igboland, a medical doctor who practiced in Nnewi for more than 55 years. He delivered most of the business titans at birth. Ikedife was also a delegate to the Centenary Conference of Nigeria 2014 and the chair of many Igbo groups. Fare thee well!”
