It was echo of joy, as jubilant winners in the ongoing Glo Joy Unlimited Extravaganza customer reward promotion were presented with various mouth-watering gifts in Abuja and Jos, yesterday.

Two lucky customers in both cities went home with brand new Kia Rio cars.

A total of 106 home appliances were presented to winners in Abuja. Thirty-seven Nigerians won generators, 32 received refrigerators, while 37 others got television sets. In Jos, 13 generator winners emerged, 11 refrigerators winners, and 13 winners of television sets, making a total of 38 lucky winners.

One of the winners, Joseph Kantem, a retired soldier from Pankshin Local Council of Plateau State, who won a generator set, said that winning felt miraculous to him.

He said: “All my life, nothing like this has ever happened to me. For me, this is a miracle and I thank Globacom for making it possible for me and my family to enjoy uninterrupted power supply during this Yuletide.”

There have been five car winners so far in the promo, with 10 more cars to be won in the coming days, as the presentation continues across different cities across the federation.

The newest car winners, 35-year-old Peter Ekeifo, a lifestyle manager from Delta State, won the fourth car in the promo in Abuja, while Mohammed Bashie Amsami, a petty trader in Borno, was presented with the fifth car of the promo in Jos.

Ekeifo, who said he was dumfounded when a customer care staff called to inform him about the car, described it as “a gift from God delivered through Glo.”

Amsami on his part, jubilantly expressed appreciation to the telecoms giant, saying: “I was so excited when I got the call that I had won. Me and my two wives will enjoy this gift. Everyone in the country really needs to get on the Globacom network because this is where it is happening. Glo has made my dream come true.”

Glo Regional Managers, Kazeem Kaka Akinsola Williams and Jideofor Agudosi, who spoke in Abuja and Jos, added that the events were a fulfillment of the promise made by the telecommunications firm when it unveiled the promotion a few weeks ago to spread joy among Nigerians during the Yuletide and the New Year.
