Fayemi charges NOA on dissemination of policies to check fake news

Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi has charged the National Orientation Agency (NOA) on proper dissemination of government policies, programmes and activities to check fake news.

The governor also urged the agency not to limit itself to sensitising only on the policies, programmes and activities of the Federal Government.

Fayemi gave the charge while receiving the new Director of NOA in Ekiti State, Mrs. Olawumi Famuyiwa in Ado-Ekiti.

The governor, who spoke through the State Commissioner for Information and values Orientation, Mr. Akin Omole, noted that proper information dissemination of government activities would reduce the spread of fake news, help the people understand government’s actions and assist in generating feedback to government.
