Disburses N2bn To Businesses
To reduce unemployment in the country, the Federal Capital Territory Authority said it plans to create about 10,000 jobs. The agency also stated that in the last two years, the Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA) has successfully disbursed N2 billion to business development services, to create jobs and generate wealth aimed at poverty reduction in the territory.

AEA is the Federal Capital Territory’s vehicle for enterprise development, wealth creation, employment generation, poverty eradication and value re-orientation, with a mission to provide excellent support to entrepreneurs by developing relevant programmes and activities to start and nurture business.

Managing Director, Arabi Muhammad Tukur said the agency is currently targeting 10,000 jobs as part of commitment to reduce unemployment rate to a single digit status by year 2020.
