To support business growth and enhance financial literacy, Moniepoint has announced plans to launch a financial training programme to educate entrepreneurs on digitalisation, fraud prevention, and data security.
Vice President, Brand Communications and PR, Edidiong Uwemakpan, who spoke at a media conclave in Lagos, said as digital transactions become widespread, concerns about security breaches and financial fraud continue to grow, the programme seeks to bridge the knowledge gap and promote safer digital financial practices.
She said: ‘We process over a million transactions per day, yet there are still so many opportunities in Nigeria. Our goal is to help businesses digitalise and thrive by providing them with the right tools and education. We also want to focus more on financial literacy, ensuring that people understand how financial services work, how to safeguard their data, and how to reduce fraud risks.”
Uwemakpan added that the programme would drive financial inclusion and empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with the resources needed to navigate an increasingly digital economy.
