Firm targets job opportunities for young Nigerians

A Nigerian Hospitality company, ÀÁJÒ Hospitality Group has pledged to create meaningful employment opportunities for young Nigerians through its new waterfront dining and lifestyle destination, Shore by Sailors.

Managing Director of ÀÁJÒ Hospitality Group, Evitayo Fakehinde said with the project, job opportunities will be available for unemployed youths as a way of helping the government to reduce unemployment in the country.

According to him, his long-term goal is to build one of Africa’s most respected hospitality companies while creating meaningful employment opportunities for young Nigerians.

The vision for Shore by Sailors led by Fakehinde is scheduled to officially open on Friday, August 14, 2026, in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.

According to the company, the new destination is designed as more than a restaurant, offering a combination of exceptional cuisine, crafted cocktails, curated entertainment, elegant design and hospitality.

It said every detail of the project had been considered to deliver timeless elegance while reflecting the culture, creativity and energy of Lagos.

Speaking ahead of the opening, Group General Manager of ÀÁJÒ Hospitality Group, Seemon Manimel described the project as the first expression of a wider vision to elevate hospitality across Africa.

“Shore by Sailors represents more than a new dining destination. It reflects ÀÁJÒ Hospitality Group’s ambition to create experiences of international luxury standard while celebrating African identity, culture and genuine service. Every detail has been designed with purpose, ensuring excellence is felt in every interaction, every moment and every guest experience,” Manimel stated.

The company said Fakehinde’s passion for thoughtful design and guest-centred experiences had shaped the identity of Shore by Sailors, with attention given to every aesthetic detail and guest touchpoint to create a sophisticated, welcoming and timeless setting.

Manimel added: “Luxury hospitality is not defined by design alone. It is defined by people, culture, consistency and an uncompromising commitment to excellence. At Shore by Sailors, we have built a service culture that combines international best practice with the warmth and authenticity of Nigerian hospitality.”

The opening also marks the public introduction of ÀÀJÒ Hospitality Group, which is focused on developing outstanding hotels, restaurants, lifestyle destinations and hospitality management solutions across Africa.

Guided by the philosophy, “We Genuinely Care,” the group said it is committed to investing in people, nurturing local talent and creating lasting value for guests, communities, investors and partners.

The company said Shore by Sailors would serve discerning diners, business professionals, international visitors and residents seeking a refined waterfront experience as Lagos continues to grow as one of Africa’s leading commercial and lifestyle capitals.
