…as INEC publishes candidates’ list

Former Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abel Peter Diah, has officially emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Gashaka, Kurmi and Sardauna Federal Constituency, following the publication of the official list of candidates by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

The publication of the INEC list confirms Diah’s candidacy and formally positions him to fly the APC flag in what is expected to be a closely contested race for representation in the House of Representatives.

A seasoned politician with extensive legislative experience, Diah previously served as Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, where he played a prominent role in the state’s legislative affairs.

His emergence is being viewed by many party supporters as a significant boost to the APC’s campaign in the constituency, given his political experience and longstanding relationship with grassroots stakeholders across Gashaka, Kurmi and Sardauna local government councils.
