Fracas as Imo officials storm Okorocha’s daughter’s mall
There was tension yesterday evening along Port Harcourt Road, Owerri, Imo State, when members of the Imo Recovery of Moveable Assets stormed the shopping premises of the first daughter of the immediate past governor, Mrs. Uloma Rochas-Nwosu, and allegedly took some items said to belong to the state.
Clash between the team and a group loyal to Senator Rochas Okorocha’s daughter left many injured.
Chairman of the recovery committee, Jasper Ndubuaku, had on Wednesday complained that those who took the state government’s property illegally would meet force, as they had refused to return them within the stipulated period.
As at time of filing this report, stories were sketchy.
