GLO celebrates Nigerian women on International Mothers’ Day
Globacom, Nigeria’s foremost indigenous telecommunications provider, has rejoiced with mothers in the country in commemoration of the International Mothers’ Day, which is held on the second Sunday in May every year.
In a statement, Globacom sent a goodwill message to mothers and saluted the role of women as agents of stability in homes and the society at large, describing them as active players in nation building.
Noting the importance of women in society, the company said, “without the complementary efforts mothers make in the areas of conception and upbringing of children, the human race would, by now, probably have gone into extinction.
“The sacrifices they make to ensure the well-being of their children, and the moments of self-denial they go through to ensure that the children become great and make a positive impact on the society is worth celebrating.”
