By Dahiru Suleiman, Dutse

Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, has described the member representing Hadejia, Auyo and Kafin Hausa Federal Constituency as the worst-performing lawmaker ever produced by the constituency.

The governor made the remark while receiving a delegation from Auyo Local Government Area on a solidarity visit to the Government House in Dutse.

Namadi expressed dissatisfaction over what he described as the lawmaker’s failure to execute meaningful development projects across Auyo, Hadejia and Kafin Hausa during his 11 years in the National Assembly.

According to the governor, the federal lawmaker has failed to make significant contributions to the development of the constituency and is among lawmakers who are largely absent from legislative activities.

He thanked the people of Auyo Local Government for the visit and assured them of his administration’s commitment to executing people-oriented projects across the area.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Alhaji Garba Muhammad Auyo said they visited the Government House to reaffirm their loyalty to Governor Namadi and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He stated that Auyo Local Government had witnessed tremendous development projects under the current administration.

According to him, the projects include the establishment of the first boarding technical college in the area, construction of roads, schools and healthcare facilities, among others.

Garba Auyo also dissociated the people of the area from what he described as recent mischievous statements allegedly made by the lawmaker.

Meanwhile, the prominent politician and member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Garba Muhammad Auyo, announced his resignation from the party and his defection to the APC.

He explained that his decision was informed by his support for Governor Umar Namadi’s leadership style and developmental agenda.

Garba Auyo, who described himself as one of the founding members of the PDP in Jigawa State, said he had confidence in the re-election bid of Governor Namadi and other APC candidates, expressing optimism for continued progress and a brighter future for the state.
