Managing Director, Dennis Ashley Wellness Clinic (DAWC) Dr. Chima Oti said the Federal Government has failed to adequately deliver quality healthcare to citizens.

He, therefore, tasked government to work with private institutions to strengthen Public Private Partnership Health Initiative (PPPI).

He made the call at a free medical outreach organised by DAWC to create awareness about prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCD).

According to him, the outreach became important because of the enormous burden of NCD and the manner it is ravaging the country.

He said: “The problem of healthcare in Nigeria is that people waits for emergencies to occur before going to the hospital. It should not be that way. You have to start from the source and preventive medicine is the key.”
