To achieve global goal on family planning by 2020, as well as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Government at all levels and stakeholders must come together and bridge the existing gap of access to all forms of modern methods of contraceptives.

Network of Reproductive Health Journalists of Nigeria (NRHJN) stated this in a release made available to The Guardian yesterday to commemorate the World Contraceptive Day (WCD).

In the release signed by its President, Roland Ogbonnaya and the National Secretary, Yinka Shokunbi, the group said every pregnancy in the country must be intentional and no pregnancy must be allow to just happened by any form of accident.

Speaking in the same vein, Director, Change Initiative in Nigeria (TC), Dr. Victor Igharo and Country Director, IPAS Nigeria, Barrister Hauwa Shekarau agreed that every pregnancy should be one that is planned, wanted, loved and cherished.
