Lagos State deputy governor-elect, Obafemi Hamzat has called on residents, investors and stakeholders in the state to ensure prompt and regular tax payment for the delivery of the ‘Greater Lagos’ agenda promised by the governor-elect Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Hamzat made the call at a get-together celebration of his election with former colleagues at the Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing in Lagos. Hamzat, who was commissioner for works and infrastructure in Lagos during Babatunde Fashola’s administration, said he remains confident that the incoming administration will improve the infrastructure in the state with existing government structures.

Hamzat noted that improvement and compliance to tax payment would enable the incoming administration deliver on the promises it made during the campaigns, assuring Lagosians of “continuity of the unfinished project will surely come into play for the benefit of the people.He appealed to officials of the federal ministry to support their government in the area of infrastructure maintenance and management.
