The Executive Director, Human Development Initiatives (HDI) Olufunso Owasanoye has tasked critical stakeholders to ensure that the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LSUBEB) 2017 Action Plan projects put at N2.57b are executed and to details.

Speaking at a sensitisation programme for members of the parent forum, Community Development Association and School Based Management committees, Owasanoye said it is important they do so, as it would be in the collective good of all.

According to her, education is critical to development and to have quality education, the pupils and students must be able to learn in a conducive environment.

She said the sensitisation was meant to create awareness on the roles of stakeholders in ensuring success of the Universal Basic Education programme, provide participants with knowledge on contents of LSUBEB 2017 Action Plan, and encourage stakeholders to monitor projects in their communities.

The Project manager, John Ibidapo, after enlightening participants on the content of UBE Act 2014, gave a breakdown of the projects in 2017 LSUBEB Action Plan.
