Officials of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), in conjunction with the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Special Task Force team on Petroleum and illegal Bunkering have arrested a truck suspected to be lifting crude oil illegally.

In a statement signed by the National Task Force Chairman of IPMAN, Melvin Asika Ajulichukwu, it stated that the Task Force Team Leader in the state, Henschel Chigozie Nwaozuzu, and Echefu Fidel, arrested the truck with registration number BZK 607 XA, and the driver on April 28, and impounded the vehicle loaded with crude oil, disclosing that the tanker was currently held at Uvuru Police Area Command, Aboh Mbaise Local Council of Imo State, while investigation was going.

Ajulichukwu reiterated their determination to fight pipeline vandals in the country, adding that they would not relent.
