The Police Service Commission (PSC) yesterday promised that issues revolving around the appointment and posting of commissioners of police (CPs) to state commands would be amicably resolved soon.

The Police Service Commission (PSC) yesterday promised that issues revolving around the appointment and posting of commissioners of police (CPs) to state commands would be amicably resolved soon.

Reacting to a media report through its Head, Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani, the commission stated that it was not really at loggerheads with the police high command as peddled in certain quarters.

The spokesman noted: “Although there are existing issues between the commission and the Nigeria Police Force, these issues are gradually being resolved in the interest of both parties and to the greater interest of the Nigerian nation.”

He regretted that what should ordinarily be a confidential matter between two government bodies was being celebrated in the media to insinuate crisis.
