One of the major players in the financial services sector in Nigeria, Moniepoint, has announced the launch of this year’s edition of the Women in Tech initiative, with intending participants expected to apply.
Moniepoint said that this year, the six-month internship programme, which is aimed at ensuring bridging the gender gap and promoting equality in technology sector, increased its offering from 10 to 15 women in various teams that include cloud engineering, backend engineering, technical product management, data engineering, samong others.
According to the financial company, in this year’s edition, Christened the Dream 15, the women would be engaged with direct mentorship during the internship.
Head of People Operations at Moniepoint, Chinaza Nduka-Dike, who spoke on this year’s edition, noted that with the initiative, the organisation is not just inspiring inclusion but also actively creating sustainable pathways for women to thrive in the tech industry.
