Jonathan Foundation donates to IDP Camps

The Goodluck Jonathan Foundation has distributed food, water, hygiene and sanitation (WASH) materials worth millions of Naira to different Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps in Abuja to help them cope with the consequences of the ravaging coronavirus pandemic.
Executive director of the foundation, Ann Iyonu who distributed the materials round the various IDP camps in Abuja said as an organisation with a vision of promoting inclusive government in Africa, they felt it was necessary to do this.
In a statement signed by the communication officer of the foundation, Wealth-Dickson Ominabo, Iyonu said the donation to the IDP camps became necessary for them to assist vulnerable groups. “The consequences of COVID- 19 include human insecurity; threats to peace and livelihood. As advocates of peace, inclusive government, sustainable development and social justice, we are stakeholders in nation building.”
Items distributed include rice, groundnut oil, sanitary towels, hand sanitizers, bathing soap and other relief items.
