Katsina seeks divine intervention over insecurity
Scores of Muslim faithful led by Islamic scholars yesterday converged on Katsina State to pray for divine intervention over the spate of insecurity in the state and entire country.
The event, which was organised by Malam Sabo Musa at the Mangal Jumaat Mosque in the state metropolitan area was attended by political office holders and members of the business community.
Also, several students from Koranic schools who attended the event were given an opportunity to lead some of the prayer sessions.
The event is coming in the heels of security challenges being faced in the state due to activities of bandits, cattle rustlers and kidnappers.
Governor Aminu Masari, who is currently meeting with leadership of the bandits in eight most affected council areas, has promised to do everything possible to ensure that security was restored.
