Kayset speaks on next level ambition in musical career

Nigerian artiste Emmanuel Patrick known as Kayset said he aspires to take his musical career to the next level.

Kayset was born in Delta state in 1997 – is the last born of 4 children – and spent most of his growing up time in Lagos, Nigeria. He grew up in a Christian family. Kayset attended EYINNI high school Ibadan.

He said his “inspiration comes from what he sees around him or what he is passing through at the moment or from his woman.”

As for the future, Kayset looks forward to working with Super stars like Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Zlatan and Davido amongst others.

“Music is just a part of me. Without music I can’t express my self; I see music as a way of expressing my self and anytime I’m doing it, it always gives me joy; I’d like to be famous and be successful in it,” Kayset said.

He said he began recording music at the tender age of 13 and his starting point was from the church, playing drum set. His genres are Afrobeat, dancehall, R&B, reggae, hip pop, pop. He grew up listening to Chris Brown, R Kelly, Bob Marley, King Sunny Ade, Fella Kuti, and other musical icons.

Kayset said he has been Nominated and won several musical awards including Best Afro Pop Single nominee at Top Naija Music Awards and winner of Best Indigenous Song at Maxivibes Global Awards.

While Kayset has been dropping some freestyles since his childhood which he did for fun, He rose into prominence after releasing his debut single titled JEJE in 2019, which enjoyed massive airplay across Nigeria radio stations. And in 2021, he teamed up with Yovi to release his next single titled Nwanne that’s currently enjoying massive attention from people and the media; A song that has given him a shot at the limelight.

Kayset has performed at big events like Billi Que Music & Comedy Concert; Maxivibes Global Award; Superkharrot Mall Shoprite, Ibadan, etc.

In a radio interview recently, Kayset recently announced his forthcoming project featuring one of Nigeria’s finest, Dotman. In another radio interview, he said his coming new project is with Dotman and asks fans to anticipate real good.

As an independent artist, Kayset said he will unveil his full potentials and is open to label signings.
