Kebbi NLC suspends planned industrial action over pay


The Kebbi chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has suspended its planned warning strike over the non-implementation of the new minimum wage in the state.

The decision was sequel to the agreement reached between the union and state government yesterday.
Addressing a press conference yesterday in Birnin Kebbi, the state NLC chairman, Comrade Umar Alhassan, said of their four demands, the current administration in the state was able to approve some while negotiation would continue.

He stated that the Governor Atiku Bagudu government had inaugurated the committee for the implementation of the new wage.
