Lagos workers hope for better days after Sanwo-Olu’s visit
Barely five days after taking oath of office, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, have rekindled hope of Lagos State workers, following their promise to address issues pertaining to their welfare.
Following interactions between The Guardian and some workers across various ministries after Sanwo-Olu’s meeting with them on Thursday, they expressed hope that “things would not remain as they were since 2015, when the immediate past governor took over. Our hope of having a better deal under Sanwo-Olu was rekindled after his interaction with us.”
Some LASTMA staff, who did not want their names mentioned, also expressed confidence in the new government, saying the last four years were not the best since the agency was established by former Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
