A dispora organisation, Making Africa Great Ahead (MAGA), headquartered in Paris, France, has officially appointed Nze Uche Nwosu as its General Coordinator for Nigeria.

The appointment was announced in a statement by the President of the organisation and Head of Paris Naija Diaspora Magazine, Uche Ejims, who described Nwosu as a committed patriot with a distinguished track record of contributing to national development.

Nwosu, who holds the traditional title of Dara Ogbuefi Ugoebeneja 1 of Akuma Ancient Kingdom, is a seasoned aviation and safety expert with extensive professional experience across the oil and aviation sectors.

A graduate of Political Science from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, the new coordinator has held several high-profile positions, including Senior Assistant Supervisor for Security and Safety at Total E&P and Head of Operations at the General Aviation Terminal, MM1.

He also served as Head of Land Side at the Hajj and Cargo Terminals in Lagos before his current role as the International Terminal Manager for Digital Capacity at the Port Harcourt International Airport in Rivers State.

Ejims expressed confidence that Nwosu would leverage his wealth of experience and visionary leadership to advance the organisation’s core objectives of fostering good governance and economic empowerment within Nigeria and across the African continent.

The organisation further charged the new coordinator with the critical mandate of addressing the scourge of irregular migration and the tragic loss of African lives in the Mediterranean Sea.

The organisation emphasised that the office must work towards creating tangible opportunities for the youth and building a prosperous environment where future generations can thrive with dignity.

While congratulating Nwosu on the new role, Ejims, a former UNESCO Ambassador, reiterated that the appointment is a strategic step towards the overarching goal of making Africa great.
