Many persons were feared dead after armed robbers attacked commercial banks in Otukpo, Benue State, carting away cash and causing pandemonium.
According to sources, the armed men stormed different banks in the area, shooting sporadically while carrying out their loot.

Some pictures and video shared online showed some of the banks raided. Eyewitnesses claimed that the robbers carried out their attacks unhindered for several hours.

The Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Catherine Anene Sewuese, confirmed the incident, saying that further details would be communicated later.
