Masari mulls economy gains as FG commissions power infrastructure

Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Masari, yesterday, stressed the need for the Federal Government to boost economic activities through adequate power supply.

This, according to him, will lead to improved productivity across all sectors of the economy.

Masari stated this at Unguwar Dutse, Malumfashi Council of the state during the commissioning of a 300kva transformer and other power infrastructure implemented through the Rural Electrification Agency (REA).
Stating that the development will enable the communities to contribute to economic activities, Masari, represented by his Senior Special Adviser on Power, Mansur Musa, said the project would be used to power schools, hospitals and businesses across the community.
Masari said: “This project will not just provide electricity to homes but will also be utilized to power schools, hospitals and businesses across the community.”
The governor warned against vandalisation of the project, urging them to work with stakeholders in the industry to ensureits sustainability.

Masari, who also commissioned a 30kw mini-grid in Bambami village, Batagarawa Local Government Area, said linked the success of the project to collaboration with the Federal Government through the REA to implement the project that would ensure clean, safe, and reliable electricity for the community.
