Masari’s Mother-In-Law Regains Freedom
Hajiya Maistiyari, mother-in-law to Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari has been released by her abductors, police in the state have confirmed.
Maistiyari, 80, mother to Binta, one of Masari’s wives, was abducted eight days ago at her residence, No13, Dandume Crescent, Sabon Gari, in the state metropolis.
She was released Thursday evening, according to Police spokesman, Gambo Isah, who added, “I am happy to inform you that she has been released by her abductors yesterday (Thursday) around 4pm.
“She is hale and hearty and has been reunited with her family after necessary medical check-ups.”
It was, however, not clear if ransom was paid before her release.
