Nigeria has been thrown into mourning following the death of Lt. Gen. Chikadibia Isaac Obiakor, a highly respected military officer and distinguished international peacekeeper who served the nation with honour and dedication.

Obiakor, who earned widespread recognition for his contributions to both the Nigerian Armed Forces and United Nations peacekeeping missions, was described as a patriot whose life was defined by service, discipline, and commitment to global peace.
