THE Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command said it has raided the Lobito Crescent, Wuse Two and arrested seven drug suspects in an operation conducted by operatives of the Maitama division.

The suspects according to the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh comprises of six males and one female.

The PRO said upon their arrest, the suspects were found in possession of various illicit and controlled substances, including dried leaves suspected to be cannabis, packaged in small transparent sachets; several tablets of Tramadol; one bottle of Codeine; and one black polythene bag containing dried leaves suspected to be Cannabis sativa, among others.

The Police Command said the suspects are currently in police custody and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.

The FCT Police Command calls on residents to shun all forms of criminality, drug abuse and trafficking, and to support ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security within the Territory.

Residents are further encouraged to remain security conscious and promptly report suspicious persons, activities or locations to the nearest police station or through the Command’s emergency numbers.
