Business leaders, founders, CEOs and senior executives recently converged in Abuja, for the 3rd Edition of Business Clinic, a high-impact 2026 Mid-Year Business Performance and Review Workshop hosted by the Business Structure Leadership & Management Academy (BUSLMA).
The one-day executive workshop, led by the Chief Executive Officer and Principal Consultant of BUSLMA, Abraham Orukpe, brought together business owners and decision-makers seeking practical clarity on how to review first-half performance, strengthen internal systems, improve profitability, and prepare for stronger execution in the second half of 2026.
With Nigeria’s business environment continuing to demand stronger financial discipline, better leadership systems, improved operational control, and sharper market execution, the workshop was positioned as more than a training event. It served as a strategic review room where participants were guided to examine revenue performance, cashflow realities, staff productivity, tax exposure, sales effectiveness, operational bottlenecks, and leadership accountability.
While facilitating at the programme, Abraham Orukpe described the mid-year business review workshop as one of the most important leadership checkpoints for every serious business owner.
According to him, “The mid-year business review workshop is not the time for assumptions. It is the time for honest review, strategic correction, and disciplined execution. Every CEO must be able to ask clear performance questions: What has revenue done? Where is cash leaking? Which sales activities are converting? Are team members accountable to clear KPIs? Which operational processes are slowing growth? What must change before the year closes?”
The workshop focused on five core business areas: Finance & Tax, Sales & Marketing, People & Performance, AI & Operations, and Tax Law. Each session was designed to help participants move beyond general business conversations and focus on measurable improvement.
To provide a well-rounded perspective, BUSLMA brought in a faculty of expert facilitators such as Human Resource Consultant, Mr Zachs Itodo, AI Consultant & Growth, Mr. Fii Stephen Michael, and Tax Consultant, Mr Terhemba Tsepav.
For many attendees, the session reinforced the need for business leaders to stop managing by assumption and begin managing by structure, data, systems, and measurable performance indicators.
A Real Estate chief executive in Abuja, Mrs. Oluwaseyi Micheal, described the workshop as a timely intervention for business owners operating in competitive sectors.
“As a real estate business owner, this workshop gave me stronger clarity on revenue performance, customer acquisition, financial control and team accountability. What stood out for me was the practical nature of the conversations. It was not theory. It helped me see where my business needs better structure, clearer KPIs and stronger follow-through. BUSLMA has created a serious platform for CEOs who want to grow with discipline,” she said.
Chief executive officer of a logistics company, Mr John Bassey, said the programme helped him review operational inefficiencies that affect cost, service delivery and profitability.
“The AI and Operations session was a major eye-opener for me. In logistics, small process weaknesses can lead to serious cost leakages, customer complaints, and poor delivery performance. The workshop helped me understand the importance of SOPs, automation, reporting systems, and process control. I left with practical steps to improve operational efficiency and reduce owner-dependence in my business,” he stated.
For the chief executive officer of an event management consulting company, Miss Chioma Emeka, the session provided a practical roadmap for improving service quality, team coordination, and business visibility.
“Running an event management consulting company requires creativity, but creativity alone is not enough. This workshop showed me the importance of structure, finance, marketing systems, and people management. The discussions around sales, customer experience, staff productivity, and operational improvement were very relevant to my business. I now have clearer direction for the second half of 2026,” she said.
