Plateau police command arrests two suspected Sara – Suka cult members

The Plateau State Police Command, as part of its intensified efforts to curb criminal activities and the circulation of illegal substances across the state, has recorded another breakthrough in its fight against crime.

According to a statement by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Alfred Alabo, police detectives attached to the Anti-Cyber Crime and Narcotics Unit arrested one Adam Abdullahi, an 18-year-old male from Yen Siminti, Rikkos, Jos.

The suspect was apprehended at Gangere while allegedly in possession of a double-edged knife, cult-related attire, and substances suspected to be crystal methamphetamine, also known as “ice.”

In a separate operation, officers attached to the Angwan Rogo Division arrested one Khalifa Yusuf, a 20-year-old male from Angwan Rimi, Jos, for alleged possession of dangerous weapons.

He was arrested at the 011 Prayer Ground opposite the University of Jos Permanent Site, with exhibits recovered from him, including a knife and some dry leaves suspected to be cannabis.

Both suspects are currently in police custody and are undergoing investigation. They are expected to be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.

The Command reiterated its commitment to fighting crime and all forms of criminality in the state, urging residents to remain vigilant and continue to support the police with timely and useful information.
