Buhari lauds Akinfeleye’s election to WJEC
The Federal Government will always appreciate Nigerians who bring honour to the country, particularly through scholarship and other lofty endeavours, President Muhammadu Buhari has declared.
In that light, the president has applauded the recent election of Prof. Ralph Akinfeleye into the Council of World Journalism Education Congress (WJEC).
Akinfeleye, a Mass Communication don at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), is the first African to achieve such feat.
Buhari, in a statement signed by his special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, yesterday, noted that the election of the don at the Université Paris-Dauphine, France, last week, “hoists Nigeria’s flag proudly once again in the international arena.”
