Reacting to the recognition in a statement, Issa-Onilu described the award as a significant endorsement of the Agency’s renewed commitment to innovative public communication, national value reorientation and citizen engagement.
He noted that the recognition underscores the importance of effective public information campaigns in promoting national development, strengthening public trust, encouraging responsible citizenship and bridging the communication gap between government and the governed.
Issa-Onilu further emphasised that the Agency’s ongoing efforts to deepen public understanding of government policies, promote the National Values Charter, strengthen national unity and encourage positive behavioural change remain central to its mandate.
He dedicated the award to the management and staff of the Agency across the country, particularly those working at the grassroots, whose commitment and professionalism continue to strengthen the Agency’s visibility and impact.
Issa-Onilu expressed appreciation to ARCON for recognising the strategic role of public sector communication in national development, noting that the award would further motivate the Agency to deploy innovative, inclusive and citizen-centred communication approaches.
