NUC grants Adeleke varsity full accreditation for 22 programmes

The Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State, said that it had secured full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for 22 undergraduate programmes presented during the Commission’s October/December 2025 accreditation exercise.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Solomon Adebola, disclosed this during a recent meeting with the university community.

Adebola, who said that the approval was conveyed in a letter signed by the Director of Accreditation, Abraham Chundusu, on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the NUC, noted that the accreditation followed a series of comprehensive human and facility assessments carried out by the NUC team during the exercise.

He mentioned the accredited programmes to include Finance, Office and Information Management, Public Administration, Nursing Science, English Language and Literary Studies, Religious Studies, History and International Studies, Mass Communication, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology and Food Science and Nutrition.

According to him, the accreditation is valid for a period of five years.

However, the other two programmes, which had recently been approved by the Commission for the university, include Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Doctor of Pharmacy (D.Pharm) programmes in the Faculties of Health Sciences and Pharmacy, respectively.

Adebola commended members of staff for their dedication and commitment to the institution’s pursuit of academic excellence as enshrined in the institution’s Motto- Education, Excellence, and Character.
