NUJ tasks South East governors on proposed economic cooperation
The Nigeria Union of Journalists Zone C yesterday called on South East Governors to expedite action on the takeoff of the proposed Economic Cooperation in the zone and commence effective implementation to fast track integrated economic growth.
This was contained in a communiqué signed by Kenneth Ofoma, Ag. Vice President, NUJ, Zone C at the end of the meeting of the South East zonal executive committee of the NUJ held in Abakaliki.
The ZEC, having visited some completed and ongoing projects in the course of the meeting, ZEC commended the giant developmental strides of Ebonyi State government and recommend that the Ebonyi development model be replicated in other South East states and the nation at large. They unanimously passed a motion reaffirming Ofoma as Acting Vice President following the indefinite suspension slammed on Petrus Obi as Vice President by the National Executive Committee (NEC) during its meeting in Kogi State last October.
