The Dr. Imam Umar Farouq Abdullahi Nupe Tafsir Organisation has distributed cash to no fewer than 1,500 beneficiaries in Niger State.

According to a statement issued in Minna by the spokesman to the Director-General of the Niger State Bureau of Religious Affairs, Haruna Mustapha (Dago), the donation was generously provided by Governor Mohammed Umar Bago during his visit to the Tafsir on the 28th day of Ramadan.

The statement noted that the distribution exercise was supervised by the Subcommittee Chairman, Mallam Danladi Abubakar Buhari, and held at the Bosso Estate Jumu’at Mosque in Bosso Local Government Area of the state.

The Director-General of the Bureau and Tafsir presenter, Dr. Imam Umar Farouq Abdullahi (Wakilin Malaman Nupe), expressed deep appreciation to the governor for his visit and kind gesture, noting that his engagement with the Tafsir gathering and support for the beneficiaries were commendable.

Similarly, the Tafsir Committee, chaired by Alhaji Mohammed Nda (Makaman Kutigi), appreciated the governor for attending the programme and supporting the initiative.

The committee stated that the governor’s presence underscored his commitment to the propagation of Islam and the promotion of religious harmony in Niger State, adding that the gesture reflects a leadership style rooted in faith, inclusivity, and community support.

It further assured that the funds donated by the governor were transparently distributed to the intended beneficiaries in line with the objectives of the programme.

The committee also prayed for Allah’s continued guidance and strength for the governor in his service to humanity.
Some beneficiaries, who spoke in separate interviews, expressed appreciation to Governor Bago for the donation and commended the committee for conducting a transparent and well-organised disbursement process.

They also prayed for Allah’s continued guidance, protection, and success for the present administration and all those who contributed to the success of the programme.
