Olatunji receives N5m Glo prize money

The first set of winners in the on-going Glo Hamma Millions promo, including the winner of the jackpot prize of N5 million, on Tuesday, received their cash prizes at the Globacom headquarters in Lagos amid pomp and pageantry.

Simultaneously, N100,000 winners in Abuja, Enugu, Benin and Port Harcourt also received their prizes, bringing the total number of winners who got their money to 201.

Palpably excited winners led by Hameed Olatunji, who won N5 million, began trooping into the Lagos venue of the presentation ceremony with their friends and relatives as early as 8a.m., eager to claim their prize monies.

Expressing his appreciation in an emotion-laden voice, Olatunji thanked Globacom for making him a multi-millionaire overnight, adding “I will invest part of this money in my poultry business and also use part of it to purchase a truck.”

Globacom’s Executive Director, Legal Services, Mrs. Gladys Talabi, said the promo was an initiative to reward the company’s subscribers for keeping faith with the network.

“The reward scheme was launched by Globacom despite the current economic challenges to appreciate our customers who are the focal point of our operations by making over one thousand of them richer and turning others into multi-millionaires,” she explained.

In the 100-day promo, 10 winners of N100,000 will emerge everyday, while a N5 million jackpot winner will emerge once every 20 days. In all, a total of 1,000 lucky winners of N100,000 and five winners of N5 million will emerge in the promo.
