Olubadan advocates less emphasis on certificates

Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, has tasked stakeholders in the education sector to evolve a mechanism that will de-emphasise paper qualification, to stem unemployment in the country.

He stated this while playing host to the management of Precious Cornerstone University (PCU), Ibadan, Oyo State, led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kola Oloke.

The monarch rather preferred emphasis laid on entrepreneurship to make many unemployed graduates self-reliant.Commending the university’s “brilliant start”, he noted that the institution was established for knowledge and research.The royal father, who was excited that the university was established in his lifetime, promised to mobilise well-meaning Ibadan indigenes to support its growth.
