Osita did not rig election for me, says Akeredolu
Dons canvass demonetisation of Nigeria’s democracy
Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has said the former National Organising Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Izunaso Osita’s role and instrumentality helped him in becoming the candidate of the APC in the governorship election in Ondo State.
In another development, two dons from the University of Ibadan (UI), Prof. Adewale Yagboyaju and Dr. Stephen Lafenwa, have canvassed demonetisation of Nigeria’s democratic system to save the soul of the Fourth Republic.
The dons blamed the leadership tussles in the ruling APC and the major opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the poor democratic system and warned that the development portends serious danger to the nation’s democracy.
