The standard bearer of All the Progressives Congress (APC) during next month gubernatorial poll Osun, Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, on Tuesday said Governor Ademola Adeleke’s recent outburst against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, was an indication of confusion and fear.
It is recalled that Adeleke, had during a campaign rally in Olorunda Local Government Area of Osogbo, on Monday called out Tinubu for his alleged non challant posture over the spate of killings and politically motivated arrests of Accord members in the state.
However, while addressing a crowd of supporters and members of the APC in Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area, said “Adeleke is really confused and doesn’t know what to say again with his recent scathing remarks against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and our leader, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola.”
Speaking in Yoruba, Oyebamiji stated: “the outgoing governor is overwhelmed with confusion and fear of losing this coming election when he verbally attacked President Tinubu and the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, who is also our leader, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola.”
While contending that the present Accord-led administration cannot justify the revenues accrued to the state with the infrastructural projects implemented, the APC candidate promised to ensure equitable utilisation of resources and citing of developmental projects across the state.
He averred: When they (Adeleke) won 2022 governorship poll and assumed duty, they searched through the files to probe our expenditures and other financial transactions but found nothing.
“When we take over government after winning August 15 gubernatorial poll, we would not have time for probe but we are going to face the responsibility of delivering good and impactful governance to out people, “Oyebamiji stated.
Also speaking at Gbongan and Odeomu communities in Ayedaade Local Government Area of the state, the APC flag bearer bemoaned the absence of social amenities and other basic infrastructures.
He promised not to neglect the areas in the implementation of projects and policies capable of improving their standard of living and also create enabling environment that would boost their socioeconomic activities.
Earlier in his remark, the Olufi of Gbongan, Oba Adetoyese Oyeniyi, enjoined his subjects to cast their votes for Oyebamiji, considering his experience and record of performance in public office.
