Offset a founding member of the influential hip-hop trio Migos, rose to fame longside his cousins Quavo and the late Takeoff. The group is credited with popularizing the “triplet flow” that redefined modern trap music.

Beyond his music career, Offset’s personal life has frequently made headlines. He was famously married to fellow superstar rapper Cardi B. The pair, who share three children, had a highly publicized relationship that often played out on social media and in their song lyrics.

Despite their status as one of hip-hop’s most prominent power couples, they eventually separated, and Offset is widely recognized today as Cardi B’s ex-husband.

The hip-hop community has reacted with a mix of shock and relief following the news. This incident comes several years after the tragic death of Offset’s groupmate, Takeoff, who was killed in a shooting in Houston in 2022. That loss deeply affected Offset, who has frequently spoken about the pain of losing his brother to gun violence.

Fans have taken to social media to offer prayers and well-wishes for a speedy recovery. For now, the rapper remains under medical supervision as investigators work to determine exactly what led to the gunfire on Monday evening.
