The Rotary Club of Akure City has collaborated with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ondo State Command, to curtail causes of accidents on the major highway and particularly in the state capital, Akure.

The Rotary Club of Akure City has collaborated with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ondo State Command, to curtail causes of accidents on the major highway and particularly in the state capital, Akure.

President of the club, Mr. Dare Ojo, who made the disclosure after a visit to the FRSC’s Sector Commander’ in Akure, informed that the partnership will further bring about positive development to the community through implementation of several community projects.

“We want to also see how we can improve on road safety in the community. The club is planning the installation of speed limit within Akure metropolis, which necessitates us to collaborate with the Federal Road Safety Corps,” he said.

In his remark, the Sector Commander Mr. Edward Zamber appreciated the gestures of the club to work with corps to save lives and properties, adding that such collaborations in the past yielded positive results.
