Sex Allegation: Umahi claims his accuser deleted false videos

The Minister of Works, David Umahi

The accusations and counter accusations between the minister of Works, Engr Dave Umahi, and Mrs. TracyNither Ohiri have taken a new dimension as Umahi has claimed that his accuser’s decision to delete videos and claims of his indebtedness is an indication that she was merely out to tarnish his image.

The minister said he has taken note of the allegations leveled against him by Mrs Ohiri and wondered why she quietly removed same.

In a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Francis Nwaze, the minister said, “Within the last 24 hours, Mrs. Ohiri has quietly removed all videos and posts she made and posted against the Minister of Works from her social media accounts, including TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.

A routine review of these platforms clearly shows that the same materials previously used to accuse, ridicule, and defame the Honourable Minister have now been deleted.”

Mrs Ohiri accused the works minister of refusal to pay her over 200 million Naira for services she had offered years ago.

Mrs Ohiri equally accused the minister of attempting to have sex with her when she demanded to be paid for her professional services .

She also claimed that the minister had instructed the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to arrest and detain her with the view to silence her .

According to the minister’s aide, “This sudden cleanup follows the public exposure of several inconsistencies, ambiguities in her timelines, and discrepancies in the amounts stated in her claims. Faced with contradictions in her own narratives, she appears to have chosen deletion over explanation.

“These actions raise serious questions about the intent behind the allegations she promoted for years.

“It is important to ask how Nigerians are expected to reconcile the sudden disappearance of videos that were repeatedly presented to them. How does one explain the removal of content dating back several years, especially after mobilizing public sentiment and drawing uninformed support from Nigerians and commentators.”

The statement continued,”The Media Office encourages Nigerians to independently visit and review Mrs. Ohiri’s social media pages.

“What is likely evident now is that Ohiri who portrayed herself as being oppressed is actually the oppressor.

“Our position is clear: all records are intact, verifiable, and available. Allegations remain allegations until proven. The burden of proof rests squarely on the accuser.

“The Honourable Minister of Works remains calm, focused, and undistracted. His attention is firmly on his mandate and on delivering critical infrastructure in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.”
