The sixth South West Investment Summit and Advancement Awards 2026 will hold on Friday, September 4, at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, with political leaders, policymakers, investors, business executives and traditional rulers expected to converge on the event.

Organised by ASo Multimedia, the summit is expected to focus on investment opportunities, entrepreneurship, innovation, public-private partnerships and strategies for unlocking the economic potential of the South West.

Among the prominent personalities expected at the gathering are the Lagos State Governor, Managing Director of the Bank of Industry, Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission Management Board and Chairman of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund Management Board.

Senior members of the Federal Executive Council, including the Ministers of Industry, Trade and Investment; Youth Development; and Interior, are also expected to attend.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, is expected to join other traditional rulers and royal fathers from across the South West at the event.

The organisers said the summit would provide a platform for stakeholders from government, the private sector, financial institutions, technology, manufacturing, real estate, agriculture, media, sports and the creative economy to exchange ideas and build partnerships capable of driving sustainable development.

The event will also feature the South West Investment and Advancement Awards, which will honour individuals and organisations for outstanding contributions to public service, business, investment, technology, youth development, philanthropy, humanitarian service, agriculture, sports, media and community development.

According to the organisers, the summit is designed to go beyond an awards ceremony by bringing together leaders, investors and entrepreneurs to connect ideas with opportunities and foster collaborations that can translate into tangible economic development.

The 2026 edition will also celebrate the contributions of Yoruba sons and daughters across Nigeria and the global diaspora, while providing opportunities for networking and collaboration.

The summit is expected to attract participants from across the public and private sectors as the South West seeks to strengthen its position as a major investment and economic hub.
