Techlifta: Ambitious Tech initiative partners with Rotary District to bridge AI talent gap in Nigerian communities

Techlifta, an ambitious technology initiative to upskill African youth through Artificial Intelligence (AI) education, has announced a new partnership with Rotary District 9141 to help bridge the AI talent gap in African communities.

The collaboration will see Techlifta provide AI training, research opportunities, and career development programs to Rotary members across Nigeria. The initiatives will equip young people with essential data analytics, science and engineering skills and knowledge to succeed in the rapidly growing technology sector.

“We are thrilled to partner with Rotary District 9141 to expand access to AI education across Nigeria,” said Temiloluwa Gbadebo, Co-Founder and Partner at Techlifta. “Together, we can nurture the next generation of African AI talent and leaders, boosting innovation and economic prosperity.”

Rotary District 9141 Director Solaja Oladipupo welcomed the partnership as a unique opportunity for Rotary club members to upskill and tackle unemployment.

“This collaboration aligns perfectly with our mission to empower young people and alleviate poverty,” said Solaja. “The demand for AI skills globally continues to accelerate. We want to ensure African youth can tap into these opportunities.”

Over the next two years, the Techlifta-Rotary partnership will train over 10,000 young people in AI development, data analytics, machine learning, and other high-demand skills. The initiative will also provide internship opportunities at Techlifta to give hands-on experience.

With AI expected to add US$15 trillion to the global economy by 2030, partnerships like this can help more Africans capitalize on the AI revolution. Techlifta and Rotary club hope this collaboration will ultimately lead to the development of an AI-capable workforce and the growth of cutting-edge technology innovation across the continent.
