Terrorists kill 35-year-old man in Plateau
Gunmen suspected to be Fulani terrorists have killed a 35-year-old man in Kwi Village of Riyom Local Council of Plateau State.
The victim, Amos Pam, was ambushed on his way home by the terrorists, who opened fire on him and he died instantly. He is survived by wife and two children.
At the burial ceremony of the deceased at Kwi, President of Berom Youth Moulder-Association, Solomon Dalyop Mwantiri, sympathised with the deceased’s family over the incident.
According to him, it is unfortunate that people in the villages are still being witch-hunted and killed helplessly with little or no effort by government to address the barbarism.
He stressed that political leaders have failed the citizens, urging the people to rise up and secure their land and lives within the ambit of the law, so as not to go into extinction.
Mwantiri asked those with Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to use them wisely to elect leaders, who will protect them beyond 2023.
“We have lost confidence in the security personnel, who will always tell us that they will bring the perpetrators to book, but nothing has happened,” he said.
