UAE’s $1b AI initiative campaign wins two awards

UAE’s $1b AI initiative

Global Advisors Communications has won two awards at the 2026 PRNEWS Platinum Awards for its “AI Powers Africa” campaign, which highlighted the UAE’s $1bn “AI for Development” initiative for Africa.

The communications firm stated in a statement on Thursday that it won the Platinum Elite – Best Campaign of the Year and Campaign of the Year: Technology at the awards, which were presented at a ceremony in New York on October 6, 2026.

The initiative aims to support African countries in harnessing artificial intelligence for development, creating opportunities in education, agriculture and infrastructure while strengthening the capabilities needed to participate in the global AI economy.

With a focus on practical applications and local capacity, the initiative reflects the UAE’s commitment to helping African countries use technology to address development challenges and create opportunities for their communities.
