Businessman and philanthropist, Chief Uba A. Michael has been awarded the Nelson Mandela Leadership Award of excellence and integrity as a West Africa Youth Ambassador.

The award was given in recognition of his strides in leadership and achievements as a youth.

Uba, who was in contention to become the Governor of Delta State, has engaged in a lot of philanthropic activities that has lifted both young and old out of poverty.

Speaking on the award that was received on the 27th of June, Uba said he thanks God for enablement and he is happy that his efforts in trying to make Nigeria better are recognized.

He called on other well-meaning Nigerians to join him in the endeavor.
