Gov commits Ekweremadu’s ordeal to God, assures it will pass

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, has commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for the quality leadership, peace and security the state has enjoyed under his administration.

Mbah said that the peace and security Ugwuanyi has entrenched in Enugu in the last seven and half years brought extensive infrastructure development to the state.

The PDP governorship candidate pointed out that it is a milestone achievement that the public and civil servants in Enugu receive their emoluments as and when due, adding that workers have also enjoyed industrial harmony with the present administration.

Mbah, who described Ugwuanyi as “a great leader,” pointed out that the governor has an eagle eye, which enables him to identify and see beyond anyone else, saying: “You understand and know your constituency much better than anyone else.”

Stressing that Ugwuanyi is the leader of the PDP in Enugu, as well as the South East, the PDP governorship candidate maintained that the governor has shown true leadership, which has ensured that “we are still and remain one political family.”

Speaking when leaders and members of Oganiru Enugu, a support group of the Senator representing Enugu West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Ike Ekweremadu, formally collapsed their political structures in support of Mbah’s governorship bid as directed by their patron Ekweremadu, the PDP guber candidate, stated: “Our party recognises one man as leader, and you have really shown true leadership.”

Speaking, Ugwuanyi paused the occasion, called for prayers and asked Sir Ralph Onovo to commit what Ekweremadu is going through into the hands of God.

The governor enjoined members of the group and others to book Mass for the Senator and his family every week, as well as embark on private prayers for him to overcome his challenges.
