Ngene, the PDP House of Assembly candidate for Enugu Urban, stated during a fund-raiser to support his campaigns that Ugwuanyi’s leadership, which endeared him to the people, reduced the burden of the party’s candidates in the elections.
He stated that PDP’s chances in the coming elections had been boosted with the return of former Governor Chimaroke Nnamani to the party.
“We have a lot of chances as PDP in Enugu State. We don’t have contenders because the governor has done well.
“Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani’s inclusion in the senatorial election in Enugu East can never be undermined.”
The man is a bulldozer and political heavyweight. With his blending with the governor, I think the PDP will win overwhelmingly,” he said.
