UNILAG gives long service award to employees
University of Lagos (UNILAG) Akoka, has given Long Service and Lifetime Achievement Awards to its senior and junior non-academic staff members as a way of celebrating and appreciating their good deeds over the years.
The Vice Chancellor (VC), Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe during the event, which was held yesterday, said the award was to round off the golden jubilee convocation ceremonies for 2017/2018 session and celebrate those who have spent the better part of their lives in the service of the institution.
It was indeed a celebration of good deeds as awardees and guest were treated to series of entertainment sessions.
Former V.C of the institution, Prof. Oyewusi Ibidapo-Obe, who was also given a lifetime achievement award for serving the institution for 48 years, said he had always envisioned that the institution would be great when he joined the system.
Other recipients included former Deputy VC Prof. Duro Oni, Prof. Duro Adeyalemi 42-years service, former Deputy VC, Prof. Babajide Alo, Mr. Sigun Oluwasola, Mrs Bolatiti Muyinat Adeyemo, Mrs. Elizabeth Omosola Bamisaye and others.
